Teachers plan your fall field trip now!

Field trips start October 4th through October 29th

Weekdays only! Special field trip hours starting at 9am
Swank Farms would like to invite you and your class to our farm this fall and introduce you to our very special friend Spookley.

New this year, Low Key Mondays are reserved for special needs children or smaller groups such as pre-schools.

Are you looking to plant new ideas in your students heads? Visit our farm and introduce them to Spookley the Square Pumpkin. The program offers a great lesson with a multi-cultural message about accepting and appreciating the differences in all of us.

Students get to visit our Kiddy Corral. Once inside they will be greeted and given an "I'm Special like Spookley" sticker. After a trip through the Spookley Maze we'll have story time and "The Legend of Spookley the Square Pumpkin" will be read to the children. We'll discuss how we're all different and being different is O.K. Wouldn't life be boring if we were all the same? From there they will move on and learn how corn grows or maybe the life cycle of a pumpkin. They will all get a cornstalk and go Fishing for Goats, visit the animals, jump on our Hay Jump, play in the Corn Box, visit the Chalkboard House and take home their own pumpkin. Outside the Kiddy Corral student will get to ride the Cow Train and Jump on the Jumping Pillow, this will be at our discretion as to when this will be scheduled, before or after their trip to the Kiddy Corral.

Our Spookley field trip program is designed for children pre-school through 2nd grades.

Classes of approximately 20 are scheduled every 30 minutes and reservations can be booked through the website.

Add Spookley to your lesson plan! Get free lesson plans and activity sheets and incorporate them into your fall program. To request the ID and password to the educators section at www.Spookley.com send an e-mail to Bonnie at spookley@swankfarms.com. Teachers only please.

No charge for teachers and chaperones. Younger siblings that are not in strollers will be charged at the gate.

Teachers and parents don't forget your cameras. We have a wonderful painted photo op of cascading pumpkins where the whole class can be part of the fun.

This unique program, along with our great agricultural experience, is guaranteed to make your students feel special.

Classes up to 6th grade are welcomed to challenge their navigational skills in the Maniac Maze. $6.50 per student includes the Giant Jumping Pillow, Pedal Karts and a free pumpkin.

Junior High and older students will be welcomed as groups and fall into our group discount program.

As more and more people are making healthy eating choices, Swank Farms is proud to be a supplier of quality farm foods for many Hollister, CA residents. Selling fresh produce, ornamentals and their famous salsa at local farmer’s markets and produce stands, Swank Farms is proud to be involved with Hollister CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) programs. Both children and adults will not only enjoy the farm’s produce but will find the farm an interactive place to enjoy educational, family fun.

Offering many popular Hollister CA Farm Market goods for sale, shoppers attending local farmer’s markets can recognize Swank Farms’ produce stands by looking for their friendly employees. At each produce stand, employees will be wearing a Swank Farms uniform and can gladly assist buyers with selecting farm-fresh produce, seasonal ornamentals and tasty salsa. Interested customers can visit the following organizations to view each market’s schedules, as Swank Farms is represented at the following association’s markets:

- California Farmer’s Market Association (selling produce at Blossom Hill, Daly City, Moraga, Morgan Hill, Mountain View, San Francisco- Crocker Galleria, Saratoga)

- Pacific Coast Farmer’s Market Association (selling produce at Concord, Livermore, Valco, Jack London Square, San Mateo, Evergreen)

Swank Farms is also proud to present to you our Home Made Fudge made with REAL Butter!! It is a delcious treat to enjoy with the whole family, or just yourself. Home made Fudge is always the perfect gift for any occasion, so ask for a sample and fall in love with it's creamy rich flavor that melts in your mouth!

Each year, Swank Farms opens their popular, Hollister CA Corn Maze to the public. Offering a choice of two mazes, the “Spookley Maze” is popular with young children while the “Maniac Maze” offers a more challenging course. Mazes grow more complex annually and each year offers a different course. After completing the maze, if interested in other California Haunted Ranch activities, the Conover Mystery Ranch and Sinisterium allow guests to choose age-appropriate experiences.

Preparing for October fun means Swank Farms plans for guests well in advance. From growing acres upon acres of corn, to growing 21 varieties of pumpkins, gourds and Indian corn, the farm uses and sells a variety of fall produce for this well-known event. Producing a diverse CA Pumpkin Patch, some of the other activities families can enjoy include:
