Something I have been thinking about doing for quite some time is writing a blog and the launch of our new website seemed the perfect time to do so. I went to school to be a fashion designer, started my own window covering business designing, fabricating and installing each job. It was fun and I didn’t have to pay employees, I just did it all myself. My children were small and I worked from home, it was perfect! As life progressed I met my husband Dick and boy did my life make a hard right down a dusty road past row crops, a cherry orchard and plopped me down in the middle of Dicks family farm, I was a farmer. Little did I know everything I had done prior was preparing for my new life? I don’t design clothes or window covering anymore but I still get to design lots of things, like corn mazes, BIG corn mazes. I get to cook with the best produce I’ve ever tasted, play with my chickens, goats, cats and my sons dog Mo. I help with the farming decisions and run the creative and advertising department of one, ME. It’s a great life, a busy life, a never boring life.
